NII TSI TA PIA’ PII is a program for the Cultural Enrichment of Kainaipokaiksi (Kainai children) in care. The program offers ways for the child to remain connected to the culture, language and traditions of their origin. Traditionally, our teachers were the Elders, extended family members and the community at large; we honor this tradition by continuing to rely on their place in the education of our children and their caregivers.

Niitsitapia’pii is jointly funded by Southwest Alberta Child & Family Services and Kainaiwa Children’s Services Corporation. Program Goals: - To provide Cultural Enrichment for Kainaipokaiksi - To empower and enable Foster caregivers to effectively parent with an awareness of Traditional and Cultural child - rearing principles - To enhance spiritual, social, physical and intellectual development through First Nations education concepts - To help our children cultivate a positive self-identity
